'This is the most powerfully emotional series I've ever read...
I was/am totally attached to Eve. Watching her grow throughout the series was amazing. I loved that this series explored topics that go beyond the surface of important social issues. It shone a light on things that remain in the shadows and did so with taste while entertaining. The stories are gripping, intense and profound. They drive home messages with force yet they are not heavy handed. That is some feat. I give them my highest praise. This is not your typical YA. I can't recommend it strongly enough.'
Lucretia Stanhope, American author
Contemporary, action-packed, enemies to lovers, coming-of-age romance series
with a strong female lead
and a wanna-be alpha male.
A light-hearted, fast-paced
set of stories
following one kickass young woman as she tries to get ahead
in a traditionally male role,
achieve her dream job,
and find her perfect man.
Sixteen-year-old trainee car mechanic, Eve McGinty, isn’t one to take things lying down (males please note!), but she never expected to have to step in to save the life of that annoying idiot, Adam Quinn - and she only did it because she's reserving the right to kill him herself!
Eve and her flamboyant next door neighbour, Adam, have been bitter rivals for as long as they can remember, and their love/hate relationship looks set to continue well into adulthood…

Praise for the series...

'OH, MY DAYS! Not Quite Eden by Dominique Kyle is one of those books that you say you are going to read one more page and then end up reading another two chapters. Talk about not being able to put a book down!

Not Quite Eden deals with a lot of things that young adults can accidentally find themselves involved in and Eve and Adam certainly know how to mess things up for themselves and their friends. They seem to fall from one disaster to the next. This book deals with many issues, underage sex, drugs, knife crime, the law, I could go on, but I have to commend Ms Kyle for her honest portrayal of what life is like for some of our young adults. It is a complicated world that they are growing up in. I thought that Eve and Adam came across as very real in the telling. I must admit, sometimes I found myself shouting, “What are you doing?” at my kindle at some of the things they did.
I highly recommend.'
Mary Anne Yarde, author of the multi award-winning series 'The Du Lac Chronicles'.
'This series continues to get better!'
If you are looking for a YA series that is intelligent, with a heroine you will admire, this is the one. Best one I’ve read.'
Lucretia Stanhope - student of forensic psychology and author of the award-winning series 'The Elemental Witch Trials'.

'Fabulous Series'
'Throughout this series, Eve has been a strong character and continues to grow and expand in a realistic fashion. There is drama, romance, heartbreak, and action around every corner. I look forward to the next! Great series, and highly recommend!'
Felicia F. Leibenguth, author of the Sapphyre Saga

'Ridiculously good'
'From racing, to death, to heartbreak, to love - Eve makes all our lives look boring, and she's not even 20 yet! I've read thousands of books in my life, but I'm still trying to figure out if I've met a heroine as awesome and genuine as Eve. I'm pretty sure the answer is no. It should be a feminist set text.'

When the sea is your life, it can also be your death.
Ten years ago, Second Officer Niamh MacDonald’s family changed their name, left without telling anyone where they were going, and settled in the Gaelic-speaking community of Eriskay, a tiny island in the Outer Hebrides. But now Niamh's past is catching up with her. When she walks onto the Stornoway ferry on the first day of her new job, she finds out that the Second Engineer on the same ship is Euan Tasker, the last man she ever wanted to see, and unfortunately it is clear that he recognises her. How long will she have to wait for him to blow her cover? And how bad will it be?
A girl, her yacht, a secret, and the everchanging sea.

'You just want to read the next bit, then the next, and so on and suddenly you've missed your stop; it's beyond midnight and you have to get up early the next day, or the dinner isn't on. The sheer scale of the research on this novel is staggering. I was totally gobsmacked. Anglo Saxon, France, Venice, Oxford Merton College English Literature courses, the police force. So wide-ranging. Crazily amazing. Marvellous stuff.'
